In consideration of the unique location of Kaunas FEZ an intermodal network is being developed between Kaunas and the ice-free seaport of Klaipeda. Increasing economic links between the port of Klaipeda and Kaunas hinterland make Kaunas FEZ a perfect location for establishing a fully fledged Trans-European inland terminal.
